Hopi farmer and academic Michael Kotutwa Johnson

Over the years, I have followed and grown to appreciate the work and career of Hopi farmer and academic Michael Kotutwa Johnson. Last year, he gave a very informative presentation (and Q&A) on the “Continuity of Hopi Agriculture” for Native American Rangelands Partnership. The video of this is included above. Dr. Johnson is from the village of Kykotsmovi and received his Ph.D. in the School of Natural Resources and the Environment at the University of Arizona. He currently serves as Program Officer for the Native American Agricultural Fund. To learn more about Dr. Johnson and his work, click here.
